INTERNAL CONVERSION OF S-ELECTRONS IN LOW-Z REGION (320 KEV TRANSITION IN 51V)

摘要
No precise internal conversion coefficients (ICC) are available for Z < 25. In order to test the approximate K- and L-ICC of Dranicina and Listengarten as well as the screening correction of Church for the M-ICC, the relative conversion line intensities were measured for the 320.0 keV M1+(12.4±2.4)% E2 transition in 51V. The results are K/L = 11.3±0.6 and L/M = 5.1±0.6. The experimental screening factor f{hook}exp for the M1-ICC is 0.33±0.04, which agrees with the ratio of screened and unscreened bound state electron densities near the nucleus (0.327). Methods to obtain the K-, L- and M-ICC for the low-Z region are given. © 1969.
