摘要
Potassium ions in K0.30WO3.15, a compound whose structure resembles that of an orderly hexagonal tungsten bronze, are exchanged by protons in aqueous acids, in topochemical reaction that yields K0.3-xHxWO3.15.nH2O (x less-than-or-equal-to 0.26). These hydrated compounds retain the HTB structure. Moreover, electron diffraction patterns show the absence of streaks associated with to the ordering of K+ ions, probably as a result of the low K+ population in the tunnels. IR and thermal techniques showed deprotonation with formation of monoclinic WO3 to take place above 250-degrees-C.
