The crossings and writhe of flexible and ideal knots was analyzed using the Monte Carlo simulations. The data of ideal knots were investigated and the average crossing number of the ideal knots showed a nonlinear behavior with the essential crossing number C. The results, based on bond fluctuation model, proved that the ideal knots varied nonlinearly with both C and the corresponding average crossing number of the flexible knot.
