摘要
The construction of a scandium coordination polymer from trimeric octahedral building blocks and 2,5-dihydroxyterephthalate, is discussed. Scandium chloride and nitrate react with 2,5-dihydroxyterephthalic acid to form three-dimensional framework compounds in which hexagonally-closed packed inorganic building blocks are linked by the carboxylate groups of organic ligands. The possible to preserve the framework structure and porosity of the scandium polymer could not be determine, however it could still be possible to functionalise the accessible hydroxyl group in reaction carried out in solution. Moreover, one coordination site at the scandium metal is occupied by a solvent molecule which may be easily displaced in a solvent-mediated reaction.
