摘要
A method based on three-dimensional imaging of dissociating fragments was presented for the measurement of lifetime and kinetic energy of metastable states of CO2+. Direct and indirect predissociation were used to calculate the decay rate of low lying states of CO2+. The calculated mean lifetime of 1∑+(v=0) state matched with experiment but energy was low in comparison with the measured value. The calculated energy for 11∑+(v=1) matched with experiment but the calculated lifetime was shorter by orders of magnitude in comparison with the measured value.
