The variational modified hypernetted chain (VMNHC) theory was used to study the Yukawa system over the entire fluid domain for a wide range of system parameters. A variational method was presented to speed up the resolution of the MHNC integral equations at strong coupling. The liquid-solid phase boundary of the Yukawa system was found to be reproduced with a good accuracy using three different freezing indicators. It was proved that this method can be used to estimate transport coefficients i.e., self-diffusion, shear viscosity and thermal coefficients.
