An attempt was made to demonstrate that for an isothermal and compressible magnetized turbulent fluid, when undergoing a process of free decay, a substantial inverse cascade is present for helical magnetic field configurations. For nonhelical magnetic fields, only a weak inverse cascade was observed on the largest scales.
