LaMnO//3 has been noted for its wide homogeneous range and many physical and chemical properties due to non-stoichiometry have been studied in various fields. Oxygen partial pressure at the decomposition of LaMnO//3(s) has been determined by measuring the dependence of the isothermal electrical conductivity on oxygen partial pressure from 1173 to 1473 K. The Gibbs free energy of formation of LaMnO//3(s) from La//2O//3(s) and MnO(s) was obtained. LaMnO//3 was prepared by the usual ceramic method.
