A pulsed high-pressure (up to 3 atm) NH//3-N//2 laser is described, having an output power of 10 kW at a frequency of 868 cm** minus **1 and optically pumped by radiation from a TEA CO//2 laser. It was established that when the parameters of the NH//2-N//2 laser resonator and the pump intensity were fixed one could achieve an increase in the operating pressure of the active medium on using a depleted NH//3-N//2 mixture having an increased partial pressure of ammonia.
