摘要
Vacuum tower bottoms (VTB) from IPL crude oil have been catalytically cracked over a commercial catalyst. The VTB was diluted in varying amounts of three diluents viz, an atmospheric gas oil, a vacuum gas oil and a hydrogen donor stream. Two kinds of coke deposits were identified and quantified, namely catalytic coke and additive coke. For VTB the additive coke was determined to be 8. 4% of VTB and independent of both catalyst to oil ratio and diluent. Catalytic coke was directly proportional to the catalyst to oil ratio and relatively insensitive to diluent type. Some evidence indicated that the donor diluent reduced the yield of decant oil from VTB.
