Observing the Transitions of the 29SiH4 Molecule in the Stimulated Raman Spectrum of the v1 Band of Natural Silane.

The stimulated Raman spectrum of silane was recorded between 2183 and 2187 cm** minus **1 with the Raman spectrometer having an instrumental resolution of 0. 0025 cm** minus **1. The resolution of the spectrum, essentially limited by the Doppler broadening, is about 0. 006 cm** minus **1 at 7. 5 torr pressure. Transitions belonging to **2**9SiH//4 were assigned and the isotropic shift of v//1 band are given for isotopic species **2**8SiH//4 and **2**9SiH//4 was measured.
