摘要：

Since Tim Berners Lee,current W3C chairman,first proposed the concept of Semantic Web,it is becoming a hot topic in computer information processing area.Ontologies are playing a key role in the Semantic Web,extending syntactic interoperability to semantic interoperability by providing a source of shared and precisely defined terms.The paper analyzes the requirement of information systems for ontology languages.The current popular ontology languages are also discussed.
