英国学派与英格兰学派:从分立到合一

摘要：

在国际关系思想发展史上,"英国学派"和"英格兰学派"这两个名称都曾在不同时期被不同学者提出和使用过,并经历了从分立到合一的转变。1980年,赫德利·布尔首先提出"英国学派",其具体所指为在英国占主导地位的国际关系研究的经典路径;1981年,罗伊·琼斯提出"英格兰学派",并将其与"英国学派"名称明确区分开来,而与伦敦经济学院联系起来;1987年,克里斯托弗·希尔再提"英国学派",用以指称英国学者对国际关系研究的重要贡献;1998年,蒂姆·邓恩重新界定"英格兰学派",将其与"英国学派"名称等同起来,并与英国国际政治理论委员会联系起来;2010年,菅波英美提出"新英格兰学派",完全淡化了地域色彩,从而完成了两个名称从分立到合一的转变。由此可见,将"EnglishSchool"译为"英国学派",不仅置"BritishSchool"于无法翻译的境地,而且掩盖了国际关系思想发展过程中一段不应被忽视的争鸣史,因而是不可取的,应当予以纠正。
