Taking Huiwen Documentary Information Service System of Jiangsu Province as an example,this article discusses the technical characteristics,basic functions and key technologies of the new generation Chinese made library automation system.The development trend of the 21 st century oriented library automation system and the thought on the development of Chinese made library automation softwsre are also described.
