摘要
植物的生理和发育过程受到UV-B辐射的影响,甚至受当前阳光中的UV-B量影响。植物也有几种机制来改善和补偿这种影响,可以在一定程度上进行调节以适应UV-B水平的提高。然而植物生长会直接受到UV-B辐射的影响。不同物种对UV-B辐射的响应差异很大,同一物种的这种响应也会因栽培品种的不同而变化。在农业方面有必要采用对UV-B辐射有较大承受能力的品种和培育新的物种。对森林和草原,这种响应可能会导致物种组成的变化,这就意味着不同生态系统生物多样性的变化。UV-B引起的间接变化例如植物形态,部分植物生物量的比例分配,发育阶段和二次代谢时间调整等方面的变化或许与UV-B的损害作用同等重要,甚至有时更为重要。这些变化对植物的竞争平衡、食草动物、植物病原体和生物地球化学循环均有重要意义。这些对生态系统层次的影响是可以预料的,但不易预测或估价。太阳UV-B在生态系统层次上的研究才刚刚开始。其它因素,包括与气候变化有关的因素如CO2含量增加也会与UV-B辐射相互作用。这样的相互作用不易预测,但在农业和非农业生态系统中显然是很重要的。
