<正>应用中草药、植物药及其制剂包括保健品和秘方治疗疾病在国内外相当普遍,而且日益广泛。最近的研究显示,42%的美国人服用过某种中成药制剂。在整体人群中,草药的应用量较前增加了3～5倍,大约20%～30%的肝病患者采用中药治疗,尽管一些草药具有保护肝脏的功效,如解毒,抗纤维化、免疫调节和可能的抗病毒作用等,但人类对草药的认识还远远不够,人们多片面的认可中草药的有效性和安全性,却忽视其存在或潜在的毒性。
