再论郑州商代青铜器窖藏坑的性质与年代

In the light of the three storage pits of the Shang bronze vessels discovered outside the Shang city at Zhengzhou, and the bronze vessels and their location, this paper discusses the nature of the pits and suggests that it may have been the result of burying the bronze vessels after offering sacrifices to gods or ancestors by the Shang royal lineage of the Erligang period.Howerver,from the shapes, decorations and workmanship of some new found bronze vessels unearthed from a storage pit at Nan Shun Cheng Jie of Zhengzhou city, it is beliveed that the pit may have been at the late period of the Erligang phase. Therefore, this paper considers that the earliest of the three storage pits may be as early as the first period of the upper layer of the Erligang phase, while the latest one may be as late as the second period of the upper layer of the Erligang phase.
