摘要：

改革时期,印尼媒体经历了快速发展的阶段,被认为是民主化最成功的领域。本文讨论的问题是:印尼媒体转型如何受到政治和社会领域变革的影响?媒体发展如何在政治领域塑造新趋势?本文认为政治和社会领域通过媒体所有权、监管制度和媒体文化影响媒体;而媒体通过塑造公共领域、促成集体行动和改变参与者行动方式对政治和社会领域产生影响。媒体扩大了适宜民主和多元社会发展的公共领域;商业资本对媒体的控制限制了媒体自由及其监督作用;一些非媒体领域的法律法规限制了媒体自由。
