经济全球化背景下的政府改革:中国的经验、问题与前景

Economic globalization,informationalization,marketization and democratization are the major international trend. The interaction of the four revolutions has brought our society into a rapidly developing new era; it has also given birth to new growth opportunities and ever real challenges to each and every country. In order to benefit from andsteer clear of harms from the increasingly rapid economic globalization, all countries have made strategic adjustments, in which the government has played an essential role. Having made unremitting efforts of a long period, China has entered the final phase in preparation for the entry into WTO. To join WTO is , essentially, to deal with the opportunities and challenges catapulted from the economic globalization. At present, the most directand prominent challenges,are those to the governmental administration system and behavioral ways. To meet those challenges, we are required, on the present domestic and international situation, to further transform governmental functions, accelerate government reform, and then create an effective market environment, so as to impel China’s sustained, rapid and healthy economic development and make a due contribution to the word’s economic growth.
