目的　观察脑梗死患者血浆基质金属蛋白酶 -9(MMP-9)的含量变化 ,探讨其在脑梗死发生发展过程中的作用和意义。方法　用 ELISA法检测 3 7例脑梗死患者发病 2～ 5天和 2周 ,以及 3 0例健康体检者血浆 MMP-9的含量。结果　脑梗死发病 2～ 5天的血浆 MMP-9水平显著高于发病 2周 (P<0 .0 1 )和对照组 (P<0 .0 1 )。后两者比较无显著差异 (P>0 .0 5 )。梗塞灶面积大小与脑梗死发病 2～ 5天血浆 MMP-9水平呈正相关 (r=0 .75 7,P<0 .0 1 )。结论　 MMP-9水平可以反映脑梗塞灶面积大小。
