The paper analyzes various views and suggestions on the development and orientation of information science,demonstrates that the nature of information in information science is actually"infotelligence",hence information science is actually "infotelligence science",discusses the relationship of infotelligence science to other fields,and explores the development prospect of infotelligence science.
