摘要：

高速铁路建设在我国正进入一个快速发展的时期。作为一种新型的交通方式,高速铁路通过时空压缩效应改善区域内的通达性,从而引起区域经济格局和空间结构的调整。纵观国外地理学者对高速铁路的研究轨迹,从最初集中于研究高速铁路对客运市场的影响,然后转向高速铁路对区域经济发展及区域空间结构的影响。将按照这种顺序对国外学者的研究进行梳理,以期为我国学者在该领域的研究起步提供帮助。
