<正> 联机公共检索目录系统(Onfine PublicAccess Catalogues,简称为OPAC)是70年代末,由美国一些学术图书馆和公共图书馆共同开发的。随后OPAC在欧美受到越来越多人的重视,发展非常迅速。一些国外图书馆常常购买OPAC商业软件;有些图书馆,如英国剑桥大学图书馆和Lau Sanne大学图书馆则已研制出了自己的内部系统,一些商业OPAC系统也是由图书馆与软件公司联合开发的。
