摘要：

作为西方区域研究的中国研究在数字人文方面正值繁荣期,许多新的项目在开发之中。总体来说,西方数字人文中国研究的发展经历了几个明确的阶段。早期是基础建设,出现了包括"中国传记数据库""中国历史地理信息系统""中文文本项目""明清女性写作"等文献数据库,在这些基础上,数字技术和统计方法使得学者们可以通过系统的方式展开社会文化历史分析。基本的方法比如GIS和社会网络分析在数字人文中国研究中的历史悠久,而目前随着学者们开始学习编程或使用他人不断开发的新工具,文本挖掘正变得越来越流行。这方面的学术活动和学术组织也蓬勃发展起来。西方中国研究正处于一个激动人心的时刻,而我们将不断从新的数字人文方法和模型中促成关于中国历史和文化方面新的知识生产增长。
