To review the theory of dominant hemi sphere from the literature o f western world intend to find the inadeguacies of it.Inadequacies of the theor y:⑴The theory of dominane hemisphere ar e only from the results of studies of phonograhic language.⑵Most literature about the theory are only from the resul ts of clinical studies.There were scanty of large scale of patients by communit y or popural-based studies.The tran-scultural or transethnical studies were s till more scanty.⑶The results of experiments were perp lexed.Look forward to the future:⑴Must pay attention of basic research of epidemiologic transcultura l and transethnical studies.(2)Experimental studies must be suitable for lan guage itself,traditional culture and ethical con dition of the country and nati onality.⑶Some mcdern means such as fMRI and TMS etc.are difficult to popular ize at present time.They may also be difficult to cumulate a large sample of pa tients.
