落基山脉高山冻原生态系统对环境变化反应的生物控制

摘要
落基山脉高山冻原听遭受的直接的人为环境改变相对很小,为查明与气候变化及大气污染有关的人类的影响提供了一个良好的生态系统。大多数植物所具有的生长模式限制植物到一定程度,即,能够反映可获取资源的变化的程度。野外试验表明,植物种类丰度的变化是高山冻原对模拟气候变化(降雪量增大)和氮沉降增加的主要反应。这种生物变化反过来影响了生态系统功能,包括初级生产力的数量和变化以及营养物循环。这些生物反应对生态系统功能变化的影响可能要大于环境变化的直接影响。
