利用氮稳定同位素记录重构古海洋氮素生物地球化学循环

摘要
初始地球的氮素循环是由大气反应和缓慢的地质过程来控制的。在大约27亿年前,微生物代谢逐渐进化成为控制地球氮素转化的最核心驱动力,使得地球上的氮循环逐渐进化成为现在的模式。不同的微生物过程会产生不同的氮稳定同位素分馏,这种分馏的信号会储存于古生物介质中,因此通过分析古生物介质中氮的稳定同位素值,可以重构古海洋的氮素生物地球化学循环过程。
