四轮转向汽车能有效地提高低速时的机动性和高速时的操纵稳定性，从心理上和体力上减轻驾驶员的负担。分析和总结了四轮转向汽车的控制策略及其控制目标，介绍了几种典型的前馈型与反馈型控制方案，指出了四轮转向系统控制所面临的困难，并展望了其发展方向。
