摘要：

由于美国抓住信息技术革命机会，在发展新经济中捷足先登，加之其经济机制具有较强的适应能力和调整能力，因此，在 21世纪初，美国在世界经济中仍将保持“龙头”地位。但随着世界经济的稳定增长和新经济的全球扩展，美国与其他主要国家的经济实力差距将可能有所缩小。
