摘要：
This paper introduces the background of the creation of Data Warehouse(DW)as well as its concept and characteristics.The functions of the 3 parts of DW system,that is,DW,DW Management System and DW Tool,and the design of DW are briefly expounded so as to enable the readers to have an overall understanding of DW——the new decision support technology.
