The Road to China's Urban and Rural Development——A Subject of My Lifetime Research

On the basis of anaIysis and comparisonof different patterns, the author proposes that in order tobuild a strong and prosperous China, we must take the roadof integrating the city with the countryside----the road ofmodernization with Chinese characteristics. Noticing theunbalance of the development of the different Iocalities ofthe country, in addition to the research on the developmentpatterns, the author is now further studying the regionaI de-velopment, and
