Tourism is the backbone industry of Yunnan and it plays a leading role in the development of the national economy. However, the contradiction between the development of tourist sites and environment conservancy is becoming more and more evident. Under the pressure, it is of great value to undertake programs aimed to preserve the ecological environment of the developmental areas and enable the sustainable development of tourism while the natural resources are exploited. Environment conservancy is a global concern. Ecological tourism is the inevitable tendency in the future development of tourism, which must be included in the plan of Yunnan’s tourism plan. The unique tourist ecological resources of Yunnan provide the potentiality of the development of ethnic ecological tourist villages, which is an important part of Yunnan’s ecological tourism development and also a practical and effective mode and path.
