The paper discusses the construction and utilization of large scale electronic reading rooms in university libraries It gives a detailed description of the newly built large scale electronic reading room in the library of Shandong Agricultural University,including its network environment,hardware equipment,and management and security measures The construction of a digital library is also briefly discussed
