Around half of the world’s popula- tion is urbanized. The urban environment is a mosaic of man-made, natural and seminatural habitats with climatic and hydrological conditions, which distinguish it from adjacent rural areas.Currentcities arenotonlyacrowded and clamorous commercial area, but also in- cludeextensivespacesuch asagriculturalland, mountain and costal area etc. Urban-dwellers seek to create amiable living condition, and mosaic together skyscrapers with green space such as a stretch of forest,garden and agricul- tural land,in order to improve urban environ- ment quality, and to support comfortable and graceful environment for people. So, coexist of nature and modernization, which are con- sidered as the goal of modern urban construction.The paper makes a simple illus- tration for example of Nanjing city.
