权威与自治:美国学校道德教育的价值取向及其发展

摘要
价值取向规定道德教育的实践形态和发展方向。权威与自治是美国学校道德教育两种重要的价值取向。权威取向以教授宗教道德和爱国精神为核心,以"教育—接受"逻辑为遵循,以强制灌输为主要方法,形塑了从殖民地时期到19世纪的美国传统道德教育形态。自治取向以科学精神和民主原则为基础,承认和尊重个人道德选择的权利,侧重引导学生形成独立自主的道德推理和判断能力,主导了20世纪美国现代道德教育的发展历程。进入21世纪,通过对传统与现代两种道德教育模式的批判反思,权威与自治在理论和实践上逐步走向融合,助推了美国学校道德教育发展。
