就业保护与就业水平关系的研究起步于上世纪80年代,从研究的发展趋势来看,是从观察和刻画就业保护与就业水平之间的总体关系向就业保护约束下的就业动态调整方向进展,众多影响就业水平的因素得到分析和检验。但各研究之间并没有取得共识,一派认为就业保护降低了就业水平,另一派则持就业保护增加就业的观点,中间派认为就业水平的降低还是增加取决于具体的经济环境。
