新的信息通信技术为妇女带来了什么 ?这一技术的发展到底是在改变着还是强化着传统的性别角色 ?它为男人和妇女带来了平等的机会还是强化了他们各自原有的地位 ?妇女在信息技术领域中承担着什么工作 ,是技术的创造者还是简单的使用者 ?男性与女性在互联网中的相互作用与他们在现实生活中的相互作用有什么不同 ?虚拟世界中的性别关系是一种新型的关系还是现实世界中性别关系的翻版 ?本文对西方女性研究学者在这一领域中的研究作了初步的介绍与分析。
