Liu Shenli It is an important measure to improve product development and design capability by applying 3D design software to product design. The main features and functions of the 3D design software are described on the basis of an analysis on major existing problems in traditional machine design. Design process and method of machines using SolidWorks are explained with the design of gear pumps as example.
