摘要：
Pharmacotherapy is an important way for treating generalized anxiety disorder(GAD),anxiolytics includebenzodiazepines(BZ),newer non- benzodiazepines(NBZ) and antidepressants. Newer NBZ anxiolytic drugs were more widelyapplied for treating GAD because it has similar antianxiety cfficacy and less side-effects comparing to BZ. Some newantidepressants, especially selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors(SSRI) and selective serotonin and noradrenalin reuptakeinhibitor(SNRI) which has efficacy on both depression and anxiety, have been recommended to treat GAD in recent years. Newerantidepressants paroxetine and venlafaxine have been approved to treat GAD by FDA of US. In this paper, the advances oftreatment on GAD with BZ,NBZ and antidepressants were reviewed.[
