摘要：

政治、经济、社会、教育与科技环境的变化对LIS专业人员工作的众多领域产生冲击。在世界的许多角落,数字化信息的创造、储存与扩散无日不在进行,因而,数字图书馆在这个虚拟信息环境中扮演着举足轻重的角色。许多国家都已开展对数字图书馆员的教育,尽管方法不同,但面临的问题类似。在数字图书馆员教育的众多问题中,已经显现并需要考虑和调查的有:多学科尺度在数字图书馆员教育中的重要性;图书馆、档案馆、博物馆(LAM)等文化机构的日渐融合;新模式的教与学,尤其是新教学法和电子学习;甚至需要再行考虑信息专业人员的新角色,以及供其实践的新型服务模式。由IFLA教育与培训部,以及其他国际项目所做的工作,也将在文中述及。
