AIM:To study the chemical constituents of the rhizome of Acorus tatarinowii.METHOD: Compounds were isolated and purified by silica column chromatography.Their structures were identified by physicochemical properties and spectral analyses.RESULTS: Nine compounds were isolated and eight compounds were identified as asaraldehyde(Ⅰ),1-(2,4,5)-trimethoxyphenyl-propane-1,2-dione(Ⅱ),bergapten(Ⅲ),8-prenylkaempferol(Ⅳ),marmesine(Ⅴ),emodine(Ⅵ) β-sitosterol(Ⅶ) and isopimpinellin(Ⅷ).CONCLUSION: Compound Ⅲ,Ⅳ,Ⅴ,Ⅵ and Ⅷ are isolated from genus Acorus.
