香港的社会工作及其运行机制

Professional social work has been widely pursued and considerable professional social work organizations have been set up since the 1970’s in Hong Kong. In order to improve inhabitants’ living qualities and to resolve social problems, professional social workers provided a wide range of services including Services for Young People, Services for Elderly, Rehabilitation Services, Family and Child Welfare Services, Services for the offenders, Community Development, etc. Besides, a set of social work functioning and developing system has been established. The government involved as a leading role and professional social work organizations worked as its main part.Many volunteers involved in social services also. Nowadays, professional social work and its functioning system performed particularly an active function of the prosperous economy and the social advance in Hong Kong. The system has got an enlightenment and reference significance for the interior of our country where model-changing is being carried out in economic system and social structure.
