欧美高校的MOOC实践困境及启示

摘要
美国规模较大的"选拔性"精英大学更热衷于大规模网络开放课程(MOOC)实践,其动机主要是扩展生源、建立与维护学校的品牌、提高经济效益、改善MOOC参与者与在校生的学业成就、促进教学创新,但大多数美国高校对MOOC实践仍持观望或不准备参与MOOC的态度。欧洲大学普遍对MOOC持积极态度,技术类大学尤为热衷参与MOOC实践活动,其动机主要是为了提高机构国际知名度、开发具有创新性学习、改进教学方法及提供更加灵活的学习机会。欧美高校在MOOC发展中面临的共同困境是:投入产出比较低、学习成果认证困难、课程完成率不高。所获启示是:建立多元市场化运营模式,破解MOOC发展的经费难题;完善质量保障体系及学分互换机制,化解MOOC发展的瓶颈问题;强化MOOC课程特色,提高学习者的参与度与课程完成率。
