摘要
Myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury(MIRI) is an ordinary phenomenon in cardiovascular diseases.Ischemic preconditioning(IPC) can attenuate significantly MIRI.However,IPC is limitedly used in clinical application because it can only be used before ischemia.Recently some researches indicated that ischemic postconditioning(IPO,brief intermittent episodes of ischemia and reperfusion at the onset of reperfusion after a prolonged period of ischemia) can attenuate significantly MIRI as well as IPC.IPO provides a novel approach to cardioprotection. With the clarity of the underlying mechanisms,it will be bound to have a promising perspective.
