“十五”我国对外投资趋势研究:全球背景、投资规模与重点选择

It is not fortuitous that since the beginning of this century the problem of investment in foreign lands has captured more and more attention; it is, after China's economic growth and open door attained a certain stage, a trend that would appear inevitably. This article will discuss the scale and priority areas of China's investment abroad (hereafter called CHIA) in the period of “the 10th Five-year-plan”.The first part of this paper will analyze some characteristics of investment abroad by developing countries, providing China with the global background against which China invests abroad; the second will inquire into the significance of CHIA and the establishment of transnational corporations for China's future economic growth, setup reform and open door; the third—the focus of this paper, will forecast the scale of CHIA in the years of the Five-year-plan; the fourth will discuss the key industry and enterprises in CHIA; the fifth will touch the system and policy environment needed to promote CHIA and will indicate the vital points to which attention should be paid.
