摘要：

辍学率正在成为影响远程教育机构质量评估、学生满意度以及社会声誉的重要因素。远程教育机构降低辍学率,不仅有助于提高办学效益,还可以帮助更多可能来自社会弱势处境的人群完成学业,从而更好地实现教育公平的社会目标。本文通过梳理相关远程教育辍学文献,介绍了辍学的定义、远程教育机构为什么关注辍学、辍学发生的内在机理、远程教育机构可作为的辍学率、辍学发生的时间规律及其影响因素,并提出了国内远程教育辍学研究展望。本研究将有助于推动远程教育机构对辍学问题真正地有所作为。
