摘要：

在过去30年,莎伦·考夫曼教授一直致力于考察美国老龄社会的文化和意义。通过人类学的田野工作,她曾经深入考察晚年生活的意义、医学文化的转型和晚期病人的临终等重要议题。目前,她比较关注美国生物医学经济学和卫生保健递送体系如何影响了个体的行为准则和理性选择。在访谈录中,她不仅回忆了自己的研究历程,还介绍了当前的研究课题,并指出了老年研究的一些未来议题。
