Trade-related environmental measures, whether unilateral, based on domestic environmental regulations or based on multilateral environmental agreements might lead to disputes between WTO members. The practice of the WTO dispute settlement over this measures shows the possibility of reconciling trade and environment in the WTO. However, there are still some problems to be resolved in this regard.
