摘要
文章探讨了师生在一个地方的居住年限、地方知识、教学能力发展三者之间的关系。本项质性研究的对象是阿拉斯加州农村和城市学校工作的土著和非土著职前(pre-service)教师实施的社会研究(social studies)单元教学,并考虑了实习教师与他们所任教社区的关系;从而为因地制宜地实施在地教育(place-based education)提供理论框架。文章数据分析主要探讨以下问题:个人与地方的关系如何影响教师将"地方"意识融入课堂,新教师如何学会运用这种使学生受益匪浅的在地教学法,这种在地教学法的学习过程是否因师生所处情景的不同而不同。
