Since the human society is developing into a complex, variable and holistic giant system, we need a fundamental change and innovation in the ways of thinking and knowing. Facing the complex social giant system, the way of human thinking should realize certain changes, such as the combinations of social scientific thinking and natural scientific thinking, the qualitative study and quantitative study, and the individuality and collectivity. With the changes of the way of thinking, we need introduce some new tools of knowing, such as the Meta-synthesis Lab, which is meta-synthetic, system-thinking and equipped with modern sciences and technologies (computer and internet etc.). It will bring about a revolution in ways and tools of knowing when human being deals with the social problems. Meanwhile it should be a revolution in the field of philosophy and social sciences, and in the national macro decision-making and management systems.
